Support through AUCP’s Autism and Intellectual Disability Programs
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for AUCP’s services, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Be 21 years of age or older – Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Have a documented diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including:
- Autistic Disorder
- Childhood Disintegrative Disorder
- Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
- Asperger Syndrome
- Rett Disorder
- Meet Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) level of care requirements – A clinical determination must confirm the need for support at this level.

Behavioral Health Services
Supportive care to improve emotional regulation, behavior, and mental wellness.
Community Inclusion
Support to participate in social, recreational, and educational community activities.
Community Transition Services
Help transitioning from institutional settings to independent or supported living.
Counseling
Licensed therapeutic services tailored to individual mental health goals.
Day & Residential Habilitation
Skill-building activities in structured environments to support independence.
Environmental Modifications
Home and vehicle modifications for safety, mobility, and accessibility.
Family Counseling & Training
Guidance and support for caregivers and families of program participants.
Job Assessment & Finding
Evaluation, planning, and placement support for meaningful employment.
Nutritional Consultation
Custom nutrition plans and wellness strategies developed by licensed professionals.
Occupational Therapy
Activities that improve motor skills, independence, and sensory integration.
Respite
Short-term relief for family caregivers through temporary care services.
Speech & Language Therapy
Improvement of communication skills including speech, comprehension, and articulation.
Supported Employment
Job coaching and retention support for working in integrated settings.
Supports Coordination
Dedicated professionals to help navigate, plan, and access necessary services.
Temporary Crisis Services
Stabilization and emergency intervention during periods of intense need.
